Warehouse Supervisor

Core responsibilities

  • Team leadership and supervision: You will supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse workers, including scheduling shifts, delegating tasks, and providing training and coaching to improve performance.
  • Operational efficiency: Key tasks involve establishing and maintaining daily operating schedules, setting and monitoring productivity standards, and implementing continuous improvement action plans.
  • Inventory management: This includes overseeing receiving, handling, and stock maintenance, conducting regular inventory counts, and ensuring the accuracy of records in inventory management systems.
  • Safety and quality control: You are responsible for enforcing safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards (e.g., ISO, HSE).
  • Logistics and coordination: You may be responsible for coordinating with other departments, customers, and transport providers to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of materials and products.
  • Documentation and reporting: Maintaining accurate records of warehouse activities, such as inbound receipts and inventory, is a critical duty. 
 
Required qualifications and skills
To succeed as a Warehouse Supervisor in Denmark, candidates typically need a combination of experience and skills. 
  • Experience: Most employers prefer candidates with prior experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Leadership skills: You need strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills to effectively motivate and manage a team.
  • Technical knowledge: A solid understanding of warehouse management principles, logistics flows, inventory control, and supply chain operations is essential.
  • Language skills: While many companies in Denmark operate in English, proficiency in Danish can significantly improve job prospects.
  • Certifications: A valid forklift license is often required, as is certification in specific warehouse management systems (such as SAP) for larger organizations.
  • Physical fitness: The role can be physically demanding, requiring you to stand, walk, and lift objects for extended periods.

 

Working Hours: 8 hrs – 10 hrs

Overtime: Per Hour

Working Days: 5 Days a Week
